One in the Middle reúne imágenes construidas en torno a una fuerza situada en su centro: presencias que parecen ineludibles y que condicionan lo que vemos simplemente por ocupar ese lugar. Su composición las hace inequívocamente visibles; sin embargo, su naturaleza permanece incierta. Se afirman y, al mismo tiempo, se escapan, sosteniendo la imagen mientras la desestabilizan.
Esta tensión constituye el núcleo del proyecto: un juego entre aquello que parece incuestionable y lo que, al volver a mirarse, se vuelve abierto, inestable, difícil de fijar. Es en esa ambigüedad —en lo que insiste y a la vez se resiste a ser nombrado— donde las imágenes encuentran su sentido.

One in the Middle brings together images built around a force placed at their centre — presences that seem inescapable and shape what we see simply by occupying that position. Their composition makes them unmistakably visible; yet their nature remains uncertain. They assert themselves while slipping away, holding the image together and unsettling it at the same time.
This tension forms the core of the project: a play between what appears undeniable and what, when looked at again, becomes open, restless, difficult to pin down. It is within that ambiguity — in what insists and simultaneously resists being named — that the images find their meaning.
