Esta serie nace de una observación prolongada del mar y de su capacidad para transformarlo todo sin dejar apenas rastro. En su movimiento constante conviven la vida y la muerte, no como opuestos, sino como estados que se suceden y se confunden. Nada permanece fijo: lo que aparece se disuelve, lo que emerge vuelve a hundirse.
Las algas, arrastradas y agitadas por el agua, se convierten en cuerpos inestables, casi irreconocibles. A través del movimiento, la forma pierde precisión y se transforma en una presencia difusa, más cercana a una sensación que a una imagen definida. El mar actúa aquí como un espacio de tránsito, un lugar donde lo visible nunca termina de afirmarse.
Estas fotografías no buscan representar el paisaje, sino atender a lo que ocurre en ese intervalo incierto en el que algo existe solo durante un instante. El mar se presenta como una fuerza que borra, transforma y devuelve, recordándonos que toda forma es provisional y que en ese proceso reside, precisamente, su misterio.
This series emerges from a sustained observation of the sea and its capacity to transform everything while leaving almost no trace. Within its constant movement, life and death coexist not as opposites, but as states that follow and blur into one another. Nothing remains fixed: what appears dissolves, what surfaces sinks again.
The seaweed, dragged and agitated by the water, becomes unstable bodies, almost unrecognisable. Through movement, form loses precision and turns into a diffuse presence, closer to a sensation than to a clearly defined image. The sea acts here as a space of transition, a place where the visible never fully asserts itself.
These photographs do not seek to represent the landscape, but to attend to what happens in that uncertain interval in which something exists only for an instant. The sea appears as a force that erases, transforms and returns, reminding us that every form is provisional and that it is precisely within this process that its mystery resides.
